Thursday went into production March, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Georgia House Bill 481, also known as the “Heartbeat Bill” was signed two months later. The bill bans abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, at 20 weeks—when most women don’t even know they are pregnant yet, essentially taking away a women’s right to control their own body. It has since been blocked by a federal judge and is expected to be brought to the Supreme Court.

In the State of Georgia there are only Four Planned Parenthood’s left, a non-profit organization that provides women access to basic healthcare, sex education, birth control, and reproductive healthcare.

Thursday is about a moment, a choice, that changes a young girls life.
