Shot in Atlanta, Georgia during the induction of Georgia’s House Bill 481 “heartbeat” bill, our film is  written, directed, and produced by women. Starring women of color, Thursday delicately tells a story that is more than an exploration of a woman's right to choose, it is of the familial ties and shared connection between the women who experience it.

This relationship—full of love, stubbornness, heartache, need and joy—it intrigues me as a mother, as a daughter, and as a filmmaker. The dance of miscommunication between parent and child is personal, born of intimacy in those fleeting, in-between moments, like light filtered through the trees, or its hard reflection in glass. I was drawn to the projects need to expose the emotional injustice of being trapped in a car with the one you need the most, and yet can’t wait to be free from”.
